Mistakes are proof t at you are trying…

Happy Monday, y’all! I wanted to share a word of encouragement on #ModelMondays 

I know at times I have been hard on myself and others for making a “mistake” but that’s not how God wants us to treat ourselves or others! You see, I confess that I have perfectionistic tendencies, but only because I care about what I do! What I do is my passion and I bring 110% to what I do! Making a mistake can be a burden that I — and you — do not need to bear!

I saw this sign this weekend and it was a sweet reminder that as long as my heart is pure and my efforts are admirable, it’s okay to make a mistake! Action begets action and inaction gets us nothing! Fear can hold you back from all God intends for you! Do not let it stop you!

Gary Keller says in his national bestseller, “The Millionaire Real Estate Agent” book, “One of the secrets to great success is to change your perspective on failure. You see, everyone experiences failures before they ultimately succeed. Some let their failures stop them. Some keep trying. People like Edison, Ford, and Lincoln chose to view failure as a learning experience to build on and not as a permanent defeat.”

What an encouragement! God’s Word says:

That we are to forgive others when they make a mistake, that includes forgiving ourselves as well! So don’t be so hard on yourself or others and by all means, absolutely do not give up or quit (on yourself or others)!
